A New day...A New season
Well, I know it's been quite a while since any updates...or any changes to this site. Since my last posting from the beginning of this year, much has happened in the CLB world. The Lord provided about 13 weekend events through the past Spring semester and 39 days on the road this summer from MO to TN to NC. We had the privilege of worshiping with hundreds of students through the summer and were blessed BEYOND measure. Then amidst other things and a busy spring and summer, the Lord had really placed on my heart to take a break. I needed to refocus my mind and heart. While traveling in ministry, there are so many times where you can recreate worship-like experiences but never continue to grow deeper with the Lord. I knew that my heart and life was on the verge of burning out and rather than walking away for good from the very thing the Lord has called me to, I knew it was time for a break. Through 10 years of traveling, I have only turned down events if I was busy doing another. Through those times I would hear Dr. Alvin Reid or my Pastor, David Sims, and others give wisdom about giving appropriate time for spiritual and physical rest & rejuvination. So I did and this season of my life has been one of the most refreshing and rewarding times of reconnecting with relationships at my home church, Richland Creek and also to give appropriate attention to my studies and even some other writing/recording.
So, all that to say this...starting January we are ready to hit the ground running. We would LOVE to worship with your students and/or whole church for anything you may need.
We already have a few events and dates on the calendar, but we are NOW BOOKING for WINTER/SPRING/SUMMER of 2012.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I hope and pray that new year is going well. In looking back at all God did 2010, I'm even more excited and anxious to see what He has instored for 2011. In God's grace and sovereignty, we have a great season ministry that has already begun. We look forward worshiping with all of you in 2011 whether it's for D-Nows, camps, or conferences, know that the band and I are praying for YOU. The band and I count it a privilege to serve a great God and His church, so know that we take every event very seriously in spend time praying for all of the logistics, servants, staff and students. Working in a local church, I know what it takes to get these events off the ground and I know that without serious prayer and the Lord's help, nothing will ever be accomplished.
We're looking forward to a great time in 2011.

And So it begins...
it's amazing to me to think that Christmas is only 12 days away. With finals, studying, parties and gifts...the season becomes very busy! I pray in this season of Christmas, that we will not only celebrate and remember the first coming of Christ, but also why He came. For those who have placed their faith in Christ (Eph 2:8-9), we await His return and seek to live lives of worship unto Him (John 4:23-24; Rom 12:1-2). So a few things to encourage you:
1) Let's keep our Savior, Jesus Christ at the very center of everything we say and do this season, remembering without Him, this is just another excuse for a party and presents.
2) Show the love of Christ with others. Recently at Richland Creek, we've been focusing on what it means to have been "Blessed to be a blessing..." Find a family in need. Pray for them. If the Lord allows, find a way to bless them this season.
3) Share the greatest story with those around you. This is a perfect time of year and it is an OPEN DOOR for everyone! People are always curious about holiday plans and what a better way to share your plans with them than sharing the gospel. I mean think about it...all the people at the mall...how many people could you go share with just from standing in lines?! It's truly amazing.
In any case...I hope and pray that you all have a very Merry Christmas.

2011 here we come...
It's crazy to think we're already to the last 2 months of 2010. Soon enough Thanksgiving...Christmas...New Years...and then we roll right into 2011. As far as the CLBand, we're pretty much done traveling between now and Christmas. All the guys are excited about settling down a bit going into the holiday season and with local church things happening, it's a good time to be home. We've had a great run of fall dates and are looking forward to kicking off the winter and spring of 2011 strong. In looking ahead, we have a few dates open that we are looking at filling and if you are in need of a worship leader/band to come for your event, go over to the contact page and let us know!
